The Porsche Panamera Turbo S is now official
Yesterday we reported that Porsche was about to reveal a new halo at the top of the Panamera range – the Porsche Panamera Turbo S. And today they’ve obliged. And it looks like we got pretty much everything right.
The 2010 VW Golf R with 265bhp and 4Motion
It won’t surprise you to learn that VW has dropped the heavy and thirsty (though quick) 3.2 litre V6 in the last hot Golf in favour of the 2.0 litre turbo found in the Scirocco. This engine deliver 265 bhp and should give the Golf R a 0-60mph of around 6.3 seconds – or less with the DSG ‘box. The Golf R will also get VW’s 4Motion all wheel drive to add to the mix, and a raft of styling changes.

The Q5 is aimed in the sights of the BMW X3, although it is arguable that it will take sales from not just the mid range 4x4s, but also a number of the full-size ones; even its own Q7 is probably fair game. It would be wrong to think that the Q5 is, in essence, a re-badged Tiguan (the VW mid-size SUV offering). It’s not.
